Almost Done

It won't be too much longer and this pregnancy will be over and I'll be holding my sweet little baby girl! I'm sure most women get down to those last few weeks and just can't wait for it to be done. I have to admit, I'm there. I swear this has been the longest pregnancy known to man. Ok, not really, and I shouldn't be complaining but it's been a long road. A normal, healthy pregnancy can seem long enough......Add in a subchorionic hemorrhage (SCH) that starts at 8 weeks and later complicates a low lying placenta, 2 hospital visits for preterm labor caused by the SCH, 4 weeks of bedrest, and 4 weeks on Procardia, not to mention other non-pregnancy issues: an episode of food poisoning, a broken finger, bladder infection, etc... and you get one lady who is ready to be done being pregnant! The good news is, I don't have long. I am 37 weeks and at my appt next week we are setting an induction date. We consider it a blessing that I've made it this far and there is no reason to push the limits much more. So I'll be induced early to be sure Josh will be there and hopefully allow for better monitoring that should help avoid any emergencies should the SCH lead to a placental abruption. We are all very anxious for our next girl to arrive and are praying things go smoothly with the delivery!

I haven't been very good at taking pictures lately, so no pictures to post. However, I did have some maternity pictures done by my sister in law, Ashley, last weekend. I had said if I ever did any maternity pictures it would be as close to my due date as possible. I don't see the point in having them done at 5 or 6 months just so you can look back and think you weren't that big. If I was going to do it, it was going to be the real deal, huge and all! Well since complications prevented me from traveling I didn't think I was going to be able to have any done. But luckily a photographer was coming my way so it worked out nicely. They were done at 36 weeks, so pretty close to full-term. You can see a peek of a few on Ashley's blog...... ashleymalenaphotography.blogspot.com

What blows my mind is how you've done all this with a child AND a husband that works 72 hours a week. I seriously shake my head in amazement every time I think of it. You are one tough cookie! Can't wait to see pics of your new baby you've worked so hard for!

You are amazing! You have been so strong during this pregnancy. I am spending girls camp one tent away from your mom and I know she is so wanting to be right by your side. Strangly the more I love your mom, the more I love you. I'm a little weird, but I am so excited for your little Miss to make her first appearance. Good Luck and I can't wait to see matching sisters outfits. Oh mercy how fun!
