Traditions

I'm big on traditions. Don't you love those memories you have from growing up and all your family's traditions? Like swimsuits in your Easter basket, oranges in your Christmas stocking, trips to the lake on the 4th of July, going to see movies in the theater in Helena. It's never too early to start traditions with your kids. It doesn't matter if they're too young to remember, it's about starting the cycle. My kids will always have a basket Easter morning, a little candy treat on Valentine's Day, Christmas eve pajamas, barbecues on the 4th of July, fishing on the opening day of creek season, trips with just mom for an ice cream cone. I want home to be a place they have good memories of and a place they want to be at and I guess I feel like traditions are one way I can achieve that.

One thing I started when Annabelle was born was sewing Easter outfits for my kids. I haven't been perfect about it, but I'm starting up again this year. And the best part about this year!?! I have 2 girls for matching sister outfits! I can't wait! I'm hoping this pile will turn into two ultimately cute dresses.

Good luck! You know me. I hate sewing, but I admire anyone who can do it, even if they aren't the best sewers. I'm excited to see how they turn out!

You are amazing... I only wish I had half the talent you do. Honestly, you are awesome! The fabric and pattern look so cute, I can't wait to see them on the most adorable girls ever!!

Hooray for sewing! How fun that I teach people how to do it for a living. :) The fabric is adorable! I had a student make pajamas or something out of that. So cute!

Can't wait to see them! Love that fabric! I've bought a few fabrics for dresses, but I haven't been brave enough to try and sew any yet!

Sewing, I remember sewing - back when I had a little patience. I remember making you and Roo velvet Christmas dresses from fabric I bought at a garage sale, lace from a warehouse sale and buttons from an antique store that cost more than all the other supplies! I love being an aunt.... Love, Auntie Penn
