Graduation Weekend

We had a great time this last weekend out in Drummond. My brother, Jay, was graduating from highschool so there was lots of family over to visit. Here is me with the graduate....

My mom is chairman of the school board so she gets to hand out the diplomas. Here she is handing Jay's to him, and crying a little too I think!! My brother is so stinkin' smart. They read off all the scholarships he was offered and they totalled somewhere in the several hundred thousands of dollars....seriously.
Of course it also happened to be the opening weekend of creek fishing. We headed up to our favorite little creek to catch brook trout to let Annabelle use her first fishing pole! The kid wasn't afraid of anything. She was carrying the fish around and playing with the worms. She is definitely OUR child!!!

A little fish swallowed my hook so I had to keep him. Josh snapped this picture of me gutting the little dinker. My first gutting of the season!!
And this is why I love where I grew up in Montana. Just a few minutes and you are here....breathing in the fresh mountain air, fishing, and enjoying these surroundings.

Ah man! I would love to be out there in those beautiful mountains. *sigh* And I can't wait to see what Jackson will do about worms and fishes and all that slimy stuff. He might surprise us and hate it all. Who knows.
I wish I could use the plane ticket for this weekend to see you guys, but Trapper's got me a flight going out there on the 15th of June. He'll be going to Rexburg to recruit again, so I'll be going out a few days before him. I'm so excited. I'm a little nervous about taking Jackson through the airport and all. Has Annabelle been on a plane yet??
