Fun Project

Today, like most days, I enjoyed doing a little project while Annnabelle was napping. I keep wanting to get new diaper bags, totes, and any other kind of contraption to carry all my stuff. Today I decided to make my own bag and see how I like it. It took me less than an hour and a half and I am quite pleased with the outcome. Please don't look too closely, it isn't perfect by any means, but I like it.
And yes, check it out, it is shiny red on the inside!

I put really long straps on it so I can sling it over one shoulder. I have one diaper bag like that and it seems to be much easier to carry along with all my other stuff. But I am kind of thinking that it needs some wider, shorter straps to be more like a tote. I'll try it this way for a while and if I don't like it I will just change them.

Mom you will be so pleased, I even matched the plaid. I bet this is a proud day in your life. Remember the shirt I made for Josh? That was a horrible matching job, but this one is good! So here are the words you've been waiting to hear for years......Thanks mom for teaching me how to sew! I love you!

Very impressive! You are such a great home-maker! Annabelle is lucky to have a talented mom like you! That bag is so cute, I love the colors and like the long handles.

First of all, I love that last comment about telling your mom what she's always wanted to hear about teaching you how to sew. :) I teach my students little tricks that my mom taught me, and I always make sure to give her the credit. :) Also, I need your email address! I might come visit you soon, and I want to chat about it, and it might be easier through email than blog. :) Mine is shannon.lacey@gmail.com

You are awesome! I love that bag! It is way too cute Sally! I got Kailey a tote to take her books to church in! But, I wish I had gotten a bigger one because then I could fit everything in it, and not have to take the diaper bag too! You always amaze me with your talents! Can't wait to see you this weekend! Love ya!
