1) The longer between cycles, the longer it will be until she finishes treatment and we can go home. If each cycle takes 1 month (which would be shorter than the last 3 have averaged!) then we'll barely make it back in time for school to start in the fall.
2) If she starts on Monday the 12th, she'll have an outpatient treatment on Monday the 19th and then her counts will bottom out later that week and she'll likely have her normal fever/neutropenia admit just in time for her to be in the hospital for Christmas. 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving...she deserves to spend Christmas at home, well her Utah home anyway!
Now for some good news...Josh and I were able to sneak away for a couple of nights to a cabin, just the two of us. It was my Christmas present to Josh, but I think I enjoyed it as much as he did! It was a much needed break and I am so grateful we were able to escape.
