Garnet Ghost Town

We decided to venture of to Garnet Ghost Town yesterday, and we sure had a good time. I hadn't been there in years (like 15 maybe!?!) and Josh had never been up there. Josh LOVES old places like that and all the history of them. He enjoyed reading all the information, the girls loved running around and I enjoy the fresh, mountain air.

Could they be any cuter....nope!

Boy am I glad I don't have to do all my sewing on one of these! But I would love an antique sewing machine for decor.
And I L.O.V.E. old furniture, especially trunks. I wanted to take every single one of them home!
Check out this beauty. Think they'd notice if I tried to sneak it out!?!

Just look at the details...

But then the fun ended when I heard Layla crying uncontrollably. I ran out to see what was wrong and found this sweet face.
Annabelle threw a rock and I guess Layla happened to be in the line of fire. Poor baby girl! Her first black eye.
She's looking a little rough today, but she's a tough one. We really did have so much fun, though. A perfect (minus the black eye) outing for our little family to take!

Oh, what a sad little black eye! I haven't been up there in years either! And I LOVE that furniture! I love old stuff as well. I wish I had a house and a lot of money to furnish it with touched-up old stuff! Especially that sewing machine! I love it!
